Welcome to Sweet By Design! By using our website sweetbydesigncakes.com, you agree to the following terms:
1. Website UseYou agree to use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not misuse the site or interfere with its normal operation.
2. Ordering and PaymentIf you place an order through our website:
  • All prices are listed in United States dollars
  • Payments for samples/design appointments must be made in full at checkout. Wedding cake, groom's cake, and dessert table orders require a $250 non-refundable retainer payment which is applied to the total, and the balance is due in full 15 days prior to the wedding. All other event cake payments are due in full at checkout
  • Orders are confirmed only after the retainer payment, or payment in full if not for a wedding, is received
  • ​Changes to any order including, but not limited to, size, shape, flavor, and decoration can be made up to 15 days before the event. Once within 15 days of the event, no changes can be made to the order. Only the Client can make changes to an order, and a revised contract / sketch will be emailed for the Client’s signature. If an event planner, family member, etc. contacts Vendor for a change, we will contact the Client directly to confirm and send the revised contract directly to the Client for signature. Changes to an order may result in a revised final balance, and an updated invoice reflecting the changes will be sent to the email address on file.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy If Client desires to cancel Services, or if it becomes impossible for Vendor to render Services due to the fault of the Client or parties related to Client, such as failure of the event to occur, Client shall  provide notice to Vendor as soon as possible by contacting vendor in writing at [email protected]. Cancellations occurring 15 days or more than the event date may be refunded amounts paid by the Client except for the amount of the non-refundable retainer and any amounts paid by the Vendor for items specifically for the Clients order. Cancellations occurring 14 days or less from the event date will not be issued any refunds.
4. Delivery & PickupDelivery and set up is required for all wedding cakes and will occur 1.5-2 hours prior to the ceremony start time. Pick up times for non-wedding orders must be arranged ahead of time. Vendor is not responsible for any damage to the product(s) once picked up or delivered. Client assumes all responsibility for the product once it leaves our possession. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect delivery information.

Client is responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table for the product. Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy, level table and an optimal room temperature of 75° or less. Icing recipes may need to be altered in extreme heat. Client has been advised that cakes displayed outdoors may be subject to damage by heat, sunlight, bugs, wind, and other wind blown debris and will hold Vendor harmless if the cake is displayed outside.

5. Intellectual PropertyAll content on this site, including images and text, is the property of Sweet By Design Cakes and may not be reused without permission.
6. Limitation of LiabilityWe are not liable for any damages resulting from the use of our website or products, beyond the cost of your original purchase.
7. Changes to These TermsWe may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site means you accept the revised terms.
