This past weekend I delivered a wedding and groom's cake to the club house at Greenville Club Lake. The wedding cake was Amaretto with alternating Almond Buttercream and Cherry fillings. The groom's cake was Strawberry with Vanilla Buttercream which I have had several requests for this year.
The bride's dress featured a lot of lace, so she chose a cake design that mimicked the details. The cake was iced in buttercream and buttercream piping covered the top and bottom tiers.
The middle tier highlighted the couple's monogram, and the bride provided the roses that I cut, prepped, and placed on the cake.
The groom likes to grill, and his cake reflected that interest. It had quite a bit of detail work, and the entire thing was edible except for the grill grate which were wooden kebab skewers painted with edible silver sheen.
Fondant flames surrounded the cake, and the grill and other pieces were made from fondant covered Rice Krispy Treats. I love how the wood grain painted fondant board turned out too!
Beer logos are trademark protected, so I designed a label for the beer can and had an edible image printed.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Hager!
